Born the youngest of six to a California carpenter, one family move later, K.C. was raised in Elkhart, Indiana, first on his grandparent's farm, then in a lower middle-class suburban setting. K.C. and his nearest brother started working very young for their own spending money by raking leaves, shoveling snow, mowing lawns, and bicycling a 4-mile round trip newspaper route daily before school. His parents taught and emulated a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and compassion for others that lives on today. His eventual move to Colorado to join his oldest brother in his new construction business, and to attend college at CU Boulder, ended up a full time construction career as, unfortunately, funds for college dried up prematurely. Six years of that was enough as K.C. looked forward to something more challenging, more potentially lucrative (being honest), and with more opportunity to engage with people. So in 1983 K.C. embarked on the real estate career in which he serves to this day. It wasn't until K.C. turned 40 that he settled down to start a family which produced two cherished daughters, Rebecca and Madison, in two milleniums, one in June of 1999, and the second in August of 2000. K.C. enjoys outdoor activities including mountain biking, hiking and volleyball along with indoor diversions including movies and theater of all kinds. He is a deeply spiritual man who embodies the ageless wisdom that nothing gratifies a soul more than true service to others.
