Karen Jolley and Todd Buckley

After raising two boys and working part time for 18 years in Occupational Therapy, Karen decided on career change when one son was in college and the other in high school. She decided on real estate sales and quickly became top seller in her office working with part-time assistants. Her oldest son, Chris, now works for the team as the accounting and marketing manager, and husband Mark, who is a CPA and tax consultant with a regional CPA firm, helps with business consulting. And their other son, Steve, has participated by playing with his band at client appreciation parties. Karen is motivated by good work and scheduled fun (especially with family and friends), like helping people build careers and building a respected, thriving business and helping people who are suffering from lack of work, loss of jobs, etc., in this market. She enjoys networking with other business owners who are not necessarily in real estate but have like-minded ideals and goals.

Todd entered the real estate business just nine months after graduating from Michigan State. Prior to that, he had worked for a company that built golf courses, but soon realized that it wasn't something he wanted to do the rest of his life. After six years working for a very respected small broker, he'd only seen mediocre results. He'd been in a rut and was ready to exit the real estate business. It was at about that time he heard about STAR POWER. He logged on to the Web site and printed out everything that was available in the Free Resource Center. "It was like I was seeing the business for the first time!" He signed up for a STAR POWER event and came back with something he didn't have beforegoals and action items. He has since found great success with the help of his wonderfully supportive wife of 12 years, Natalie. They have three sons: Ty, Cooper, and Miles.
